The 2014 Tōkai earthquake and tsunami (東海地方地震と津波 Tōkai Chihō Jishin to Tsunami ) was a magnitude 9.3 (Mw) undersea megathrust earthquake off the coast of Nakahara that occurred at 8:44 Nakahara National time (23:46 UTC) on Saturday 26 June 2014. This earthquake and tsunami is the most expensive disaster ever recorded in Sekami and the strongest earthquake ever hit Nakahara in past 800 years.
