The Republic of Sundanesia (Indische: Republik Sundanesia) is a notable developing country in the northeast of Althena continent. It consists of an archipelago between mainland Althena in the south and Carreon in the north as well as Cilician Ocean in east and Pasai Sea in the west. It's neighboring with New Terrance and Septentria in the north, Ami Confederation in the west and Althena continent in the north.

The Sundanesian archipelago has been an important trade region since at least the 7th century, when Melaka and then later Jaya traded with Peilan and Samastra. Local rulers gradually absorbed foreign cultural, religious and political models from the early centuries CE. Sundanesian history has been influenced by foreign powers drawn to its natural resources. Following three and a half centuries of Batavia colonialism plus 4 years of Mitoyagi occupation, Sundanesia secured its independence from.

Sundanesian consists of hundreds of distinct native ethnic and linguistic groups. The largest – and politically dominant – ethnic group are the Javanese. A shared identity has developed, defined by a national language, ethnic diversity, religious pluralism, and a history of colonialism and rebellion against it. Sundanesian Motto: Beragam tetapi satu (Various but united), articulates the diversity that shapes the country. Despite its large population and densely populated regions, Sundanesia has vast areas of wilderness. The country has abundant natural resources, yet poverty remains widespread.

Etymology

Later, during Batavian colonial era (19th century), name of Sunda becoming incoorporated with the accompaying region including with the tectonic plate which lies within it.

During 1909 national awakening era, name Sundanesia becoming popular among the academics and the youth movement. Later in 1928 the youth generation incoorporated the name Sundanesia as the area within the Batavian East Land and declare themself as the united Sundanesian people although they come from various ethnicity.

Foreign relations and military

Sundanesia has various era of foreign relationship from the early independence era, transition to new order era and later the reformation era. During the early independence era (1952-1973), Sundanesia mantain its anti imperialism power as can be seen with the national confrontation to the formation of Belawan Federation and Sintang Federation by Trentannia as the result of Trentannian imperialism to the Northwest Althena. Later during the new order era, Sundanesia ally much to the western nation such as Shayden in the economic and for somehow the foreign policies in that era much influenced with capitalism and liberalism stuff.

Sundanesia current foreign relation based on the 1952 national constitution Section 11, line 1 (post 2001 amandement): "Sundanesia menganut politik luar negeri yang bebas aktif" which in english meaning that Sundanesia has a unaffiliated and active foreign relationship consindering this nation try not to be affiliated to any bloc (communism and capitalism bloc). As for 2005, Sundanesia break several agreement which consindered to be capitalist enough to the nation which been enacted earlier in the new order era.

Military

Sundanesian armed forces

Sundanesia has 3 division on the forces: Ground force (TNS-AD), Airforce (TNS-AU), and Navy (TNS-AL). Sundanesia as about 650,000 active army member as in 2009 consisting of 3 forces with precedenced in the Navy as Sundanesia has a large sea area.

The Sundanesian Army was formed during the Sanase Occupation era as PETA (Pembela Tana Air) in order to aid the Sanase military on the Great Adonian War, though later it turns into undertook a guerrilla war along with informal militia agains the recolonialisation era by Batavia. With the independence of Sundanesia (declaration in 1952), Sundanesia officially incoorporated them into Sundanesian National force and bring them with 1952 national constitution.

Under the 1952 Constitution, all citizens are legally entitled and obliged to defend the nation. Conscription is provided for by law, yet the Forces have been able to maintain mandated strength levels without resorting to a draft. Most enlisted personnel are recruited in their own home regions and generally train and serve most of their time in units nearby.

Under current law, Sundanesia military service is voluntary though there's several proporsal to make it to be compulsory to the Sundanesian but this proporsal doesnt get enough vote and agreement toward the nationalwide population as well as the Sundanesian military force themself. By 2014, there are about 40 millions people of Sundanesia aged 19-49 fit to the national military service and its opened for them to enter by any time.

Military spending in the national budget was widely estimated 3% of GDP in 2005, but is supplemented by revenue from many military-run businesses and foundations. The Sundanesian Defence force personnel does not include members of law enforcement and paramilitary personnel such as POLRES (Sundanesian National Police) consisting of approximately 590,000 personnel, BRIMOB (police mobile brigade) of around 42,000 armed personnel, the Civil Service Police Unit, MENWA (collegiate military service) 26,000 trained personnel, and HANSIP (civil defense forces), number unknown.
