Shizukana Prefecure (静金県 Shizukana-ken ) is a prefecture of Nakahara located in island of Maejima.
History
Shizukana Prefecture was known as Mikado Province (神門州) prior to the Yamaguchi era. Mikado Province was one of the earliest settlement on Maejima Island. Amaten Shrine which built in 200BC in the city of Amaten was one of the earliest standing structure (despite being renovated several times) located within the Amaten City in the south of Shizukana Prefecture.
Battle of Mikado happens in the Shizukana plain between the Yokoyama Clan with Shimogawa Clan. With the victory of Yokoyama Clan, Yokoyama Shogunate able to unify whole Maejima Island. Shizukana castle which later renamed Tokyo castle is the location of Siege of Shizukana between the remaining Shimogawa forces joined with Shinozaki Clan with the Yokoyama clan resulting a devastation of the Yokoyama forces in the area. Mikado was a major Nakasendo route between Shizuku and Nagawa as well as nearby the geographical centre of Nakahara.
